Inspired by christ - Reaching out to all - Being the best we can be

The children of All Saints' have returned to learning after 2 breaks from 'in school' teaching.  The school was closed to most children in the summer term 2020 and for most of the spring term 2021.

The following documents outlines how All Saints' intends to help children accelerate their learning now that school has reopened for all.  Included in this document are details of how the school intends to spend the government's Covid Catch Up Grant.

Please find attached some useful information which may answer some questions you may have re coronavirus.

At All Saints' we provide a remote learning provision for when children are not able to attend school.  This provision depends on the age, aptitude and confidence of the child.

Children in the Foundation Stage

Your child will access support from their class teacher through the Tapestry Learning Portal:

The teacher will post videos, tasks, stories and links to a range of educational sites which parents will find useful when helping their child to develop.

Children in Year 1 to 6.

When your child is not able to attend.  Most of their work will be accessed through google classroom.  Please use the following link to access this portal:

The children will be set 3 tasks per day.  These will include 1 piece of English work, 1 piece of maths and 1 other task which may be more 'open ended' and may take more than 1 day to complete.

The children will also have the opportunity to meet a member of their teaching team face to face through a remote meeting.  This meeting serves many purposes, for example:

  • To say in touch and enjoy the company of their friends and staff
  • To practise reading
  • To clarify misconceptions
  • To teach new content

Please contact your child class teacher if you have any questions.
